The residents of Newtown, Connecticut are moving on, both physically and emotionally, as the demolition of Sandy Hook Elementary School, where 20 children were gunned down, proceeds ahead of plans to build a new school on the same grounds.
The top elected leader in Newtown, Conn., Pat Llodra, said Thursday that the demolition of the old Sandy Hook Elementary School building will take several weeks. Contractors are being asked to destroy materials to eliminate nearly every trace of the building.
