Matthews just ripped McCain spokesperson Nancy Pfartenhauer on the economy. Not to be superficial about her appearance, but you don't go on TV during an economic crisis wearing something that looks like gold lamay.

Matthews saying that he can't think of Obama's pithy one-liner message on the economy and the Republicans. Matthews cited as examples, "Are you better off than you were four years ago?" and, "It's the economy, stupid." Well, Chris, what about, "ENOUGH!" What about, "We can't afford more of the same!" Matthews sometimes unfairly contrasts historical sentimentality against present-day newness. The new message hasn't become legend yet, Chris. But it will.
