Outgoing Speaker of the House John Boehner (R-OH) has chosen the members of the Select Committee on Planned Parenthood and judging by this short list it will undoubtedly be a disaster that could rival or surpass the Select Committee on Benghazi.

What immediately stands out to me is the choice of Marsha Blackburn as the committee chairwoman.
The GOP undoubtedly believes they're pulling a fast one by appointing a woman as the chair of the committee, but Marsha Blackburn will be a disaster rivaling the shitshow overseen by Chairman Trey Gowdy on the Benghazi Committee.
It's been a few years but you may recall Blackburn voted against the Violence Against Women Act (VAWA) because it would have expanded existing protections to LGBT and Native American women.
Other members of the committee "investigating" Planned Parenthood, an organization that provides healthcare to low-income women, don't fare much better. Sean Duffy (R-WI) made a name for himself by claiming he was struggling to get by on his meager salary of $174,000 per year.
House Oversight Committee Chairman Jason Chaffetz has clearly stated that they've found no evidence of wrongdoing in Planned Parenthood's finances and that should have closed the case, but obviously it didn't.
The tall tale of an underground black market for fetuses overseen by Planned Parenthood was just the latest excuse to launch another protracted assault on access to abortion.
