First Lady Michelle Obama delivered an amazing speech yesterday in which she denounced Trump's boast that he regularly kisses and gropes women without their consent and called dismissals of his comments an insult to decent men.
That seems easy enough to understand for most people, but Mike Pence is not most people.
Pence appeared on CBS this morning where he said he "doesn't understand" Michelle Obama's critique.
“Look I have a lot of respect for the first lady,” Pence told “CBS This Morning” early Friday. “But I don’t understand the basis of her claim.”
“You don’t believe his language was ‘sexually predatory?’” co-host Norah O’Donnell asked Pence, quoting Obama’s words when she slammed Trump for “bragging about sexually assaulting women.” [...]
“Donald Trump has -- has asserted that all of these recent unsubstantiated allegations are categorically false and I do believe him,” Pence said, affirming that he “absolutely” spoke to Trump personally about the accusations.
Mike Pence himself denounced Trump's comments which were captured on tape by Access Hollywood. Pence said there is no defense for what Trump said just after the tape was released, but Pence is now defending it.
And if that weren't ridiculous enough, Pence evidently believes everything Trump tells him.
Pence spent the entire vice presidential debate denying every word Trump has ever said. Then he condemned Trump's words. Then he denied his owns after Trump publicly broke with him. Now he's defending words that he called indefensible.
Mike Pence is a ridiculous person.
In case you missed it, you can watch the First Lady's speech yourself and tell me if any part of it is difficult to understand.
