Remember the Romney video from the convention in which Tagg made a big deal out of the fact that Romney was frugal -- so much so that instead of buying the correct lightbulb for the range, he slapped in a too-large bulb that blinded anyone who used the range, and then duct-taped a piece of tinfoil to block to light.
The takeaway? A totally ridiculous and wasteful solution (the larger bulb burned more energy than the price of a smaller more appropriate bulb).
Romney's campaign spending worked the same way. Instead of spending money on the manpower to find the cheapest ad rates, Romney just hurled cash at TV stations and, consequently, spent more than double the Obama campaign spent for the same ad space.
Can you imagine what this guy would've done to the economy?
