The Republicans spent their entire convention focusing on "you didn't build that" and all they have to show for it are these lousy t-shirts poll numbers.
The Wall Street Journal/NBC News survey read respondents President Obama's "you didn't build this" comments in context and asked how that changed their views of the president.
Key findings: 36% said it made them feel more positively about Obama, 32% said it made them view him more negatively and 26% said it made no difference.
More people who saw "you didn't built that" said it made them feel better about the president rather than worse. Swing-state polling already hinted that this manufactured gaffe was a dud, but this cuts right to it.
