Today on Morning Joe, there was an extended conversation about how President Obama "can give great speeches, but he can't follow through."
This is a ridiculous myth.
The president, in fact, has the best legislative record in a first year since FDR, according to CQ.
A couple of notes here. Yes, he has large majorities in Congress. But filibusters have reached an all time high -- no modern president has seen his legislative agenda obstructed like this one. Meanwhile, I do believe that the president hasn't done enough to brag about these accomplishments. I keep going back to this, but here it is again: If the largest middle class tax cut in history is passed, and no one brags about it, does it make a sound?
