Just a quick note about the financial side of the blog. As you might know, this blog is still an independent venture that relies on multiple revenue streams to survive: advertising, the After Party memberships, the Amazon Link and, as always, the quarterly fundraisers.
Regarding that last one… Following the Spring fundraiser last month I’ve decided to discontinue that process — at least for a while. Don’t get me wrong: it’s just as important for the functioning of the blog as it’s always been, but it’s increasingly uncomfortable to beg for donations.
So, instead, I’ve posted the jolly, candy-like DONATE button as a widget on the right side-bar as a kind of permanent tip-jar.

If you read something that’s particularly good or if you’d simply like to pitch in and support our efforts with a gratuity, click the button and donate. If not, ignore it.
But I think it’s time to give the fundraiser process a rest, and hopefully the presence of the PayPay DONATE button will suffice in place of the quarterly routine.
