Great news -- the National Rifle Association's (NRA) grotesque television channel is ceasing production and a significant portion of the NRA's other propaganda operations will soon vanish.
Because the NRA severed ties with their production company, Ackerman McQueen Inc, everything that Ackermoon produced including NRATV will end.
From CNN:
Washington (CNN)The National Rifle Association is shutting down production of its online streaming network, NRATV, according to a spokesman for the gun lobby.
Andrew Arulanandam confirmed to CNN on Wednesday that the organization will stop producing new content for its 24-hour live online channel. The decision was first reported by the New York Times.
The Times noted that NRATV may air past content, but its hosts, like Dana Loesch, will no longer be featured in live programming.
While NRATV will continue to broadcast old content for the immediate future, it's unlikely that the channel will remain on the air for very long. At the very least, it seems likely that the channel will disappear altogether once current contracts are fulfilled.
Ordinarily, the NRA would simply find another production company, but the gun lobby is bleeding millions of dollars in legal fees while it grapples with the fraud and graft of its own board members and even its own legal representation.
The NRA could resurrect NRATV, but I don't know where they'll find the money.
NRATV was a poisonous operation that frequently eclipsed InfoWars for the amount of paranoia and misinformation it pumped into cable boxes across the country. We will be better off for its absence.
