Republicans spend half their time campaigning against government spending, government bailouts and big deficits. The other half of their time is spent asking for more government spending, more government bailouts and larger deficits.
For example, the president of the very conservative U.S. Chamber of Commerce, Tom Donohue, and the very Republican House Minority Leader, John Boehner, think the government should kick in money to pay for the BP oil spill cleanup.
Hmm.
I wonder how the CBO would score such an expenditure. And I wonder from where all that wealth will be redistributed. Hmmm.
