It’s no leg lamp, but the finishing touches in the form of a 408 feet tall spire and beacon were placed atop 1 World Trade Center(formerly known as Freedom Tower)over the weekend, and just in time for the War on Christmas.

2 World Trade Center is tentatively scheduled to be completed sometime in 2016. At a cost of about $3 billion, 2 W.T.C. is on hold until they can come up with enough tenants who will sign leases promising not to use their windows for drying laundry. Tough sell.
