It was reported yesterday that Republican presidential frontrunner Donald Trump would offer free rides in his helicopter at the Iowa State Fair, but according to local press that will not be allowed.
[State] fair spokeswoman Mindy Williamson said Trump did not ask for permission to do so, nor would he be granted permission if he does indeed seek it.
“He is welcome to land his helicopter anywhere outside the grounds and take people on rides or whatever he would like to do,” she said. “But that will not be happening on Iowa State Fair grounds.”
This would be a great opportunity for the Trump campaign to do exactly as the spokeswoman says and offer free rides just outside the fair grounds. The press will eat it up.
Personally, I'm in favor of anything that helps Trump maintain his GOP frontrunner status for as long as possible.
