Senator Lieberman questions Senator Obama's patriotism in York:
“between one candidate, John McCain, who has always put the country first, worked across party lines to get things done, and one candidate who has not.”
This was the big news from the McBush campaign yesterday, but it overshadowed two other instances of McBush awfulness.
_Senator Lieberman made with the fear-mongering by repeating the Bush Republican lie that there haven't been any attacks since 9/11.
_And then there's the race-baiting... Senator McCain is now picking up from Senator Clinton and casting himself as Rocky -- which of course carries a significant racial component. The white underdog versus the black frontrunner. They began by playing the Rocky theme in the arena, and then both Lieberman and McCain made the comparison during their remarks.
Here's a YouTube link with Lieberman's full introduction in York. Warning: it's pulse-pounding!
