Of course all capitalist societies are paragons of peacefulness and caring. Why, England and the US never slaughtered anyone in their colonizing and expansion efforts in search of new resources and capital.

Sen. Rand Paul, R-Ky., joined South Carolina radio host Vince Coakley yesterday to discuss the first Democratic presidential debate, where he said the candidates were “all trying to outdo each other in their disdain for the economic system of capitalism that made us great.”

Gollies, that sounds terrible. It also sounds almost exactly like Ted Cruz last Wednesday, who at least admitted he hadn’t watched the Democratic debate:

“It was more socialism, more pacifism, more weakness & less Constitution,” he told about 100 people crammed into a motel lobby in Kalona, a small town in southeastern Iowa. “It was a recipe to destroy a country.”

“We’re seeing our freedoms taken away every day and last night was an audition for who would wear the jackboot most vigorously. Last night was an audition for who would embrace government power for who would strip your and my individual liberties,” he said.

“Every one of the Democratic candidates is agreed on doubling down on the failed Obama strategies. So it was really quite interesting for America to see each and every Democratic candidate explain how they’re every bit as socialist as Bernie Sanders is,” he said.

“It was interesting for America to see each and every Democratic candidate explain how what we need is an even weaker America, how we should withdraw even more from America” – he probably meant to say the world – “[and] avoid any conflict whatsoever with Iran, with Russia, with ISIS, with the lunatics who want to kill us.”

I say “almost” because Rand Paul’s statement was somewhat less spittle-flecked.

No, Rand. That would be called a “dictatorship” (it even shares the same root word as “dictated”) or an “authoritarian regime.” Words have meaning and they have these things called “dictionaries” where we keep track of what all of these words mean. Feel free to consult one at any time. They probably won’t even mind if you copy/paste for your speeches or writings.

Ah, yes…but his policies would kill people with the right kind of “small gubmint” instead of “duh socialisms” so it all works out!
