As far as I know this is a first.
A tow truck driver in Asheville, South Carolina refused to help a disabled woman who was stranded on the side of the highway because she has a pro-Bernie Sanders bumper sticker.
That wouldn't necessarily be a major surprise except the tow truck driver cited his religious beliefs to refuse service.
"Something came over me, I think the Lord came to me, and he just said get in the truck and leave," said Ken Shupe of Shupee Max Towing in Traveler's Rest, S.C. "And when I got in my truck, you know, I was so proud, because I felt like I finally drew a line in the sand and stood up for what I believed."
What would Jesus do? He'd leave that poor, disabled woman on the side of the fucking road, of course.
The local tow truck driver claims he did not know the woman is disabled, suffering from "psoriatic arthritis, fibromyalgia, Chronic Fatigue Syndrome and early-stage Crohns" according to local ABC affilate WLOS, but he said he wouldn't have helped the woman even if he knew she was disabled. In Jesus's name, amen.
Tow truck driver Ken Shupe has made the great merciful Lord proud today.
