I've been thinking about the Republican logic on government healthcare and the elderly. I know, I know. There is no logic. But insofar as they consider it to be perfectly logical, we'll call it logic. So see if you can follow this.
The Republicans are crapping their cages about how healthcare reform will kill old people. The Republicans suggest a government healthcare system will contribute to this. So the Republicans don't like government health insurance programs. However, Medicare is government health insurance. So they should ostensibly be opposed to Medicare which, if abolished, would lead to an exponential increase in fatalies among the elderly.
Does that about sum it up?
