Because the president has faced so much criticism for his actions or in-actions in Libya over the past several months, the conflict coming to an end should leave room for at least faint praise right?
Wrong.
According to arch-warhawks John McCain and Lindsey Graham, the United States deserves no credit for the ouster of Qadaffi.
In a bizarre statement about the developments in Libya, Sens. John McCain (R-AZ) and Lindsey Graham (R-SC) commend many countries for bringing about “the end of the Qadaffi regime.” But the United States is not one of the them. “We…commend our British, French, and other allies, as well as our Arab partners, especially Qatar and the UAE, for their leadership in this conflict,” they write, “but we regret that this success was so long in coming due to the failure of the United States to employ the full weight of our airpower.”
So patriotic! Commending your French and Arab allies while lamenting that we didn't drop enough bombs and kill enough civilians while doing so.
I thought only those dirty liberals would cheer for other countries ahead of their own. My mistake! I forgot it's okay to do so if the president is a black Democrat.
