A new ABC/Washington Post poll is out, and it shows Obama ahead nationally among likely voters 49%-46%. That's not too surprising, but what is surprising is that the poll shows no post-debate surge for Romney. Obama was ahead by two points on September 29 and he's ahead by three points today.
Furthermore, and relating to my column today, the president is safely ahead in all issue areas (minus the deficit which he's reduced) including the "crisis" category.
And following tomorrow's debate, I suspect we'll see the president surge back into the lead throughout the other major polls.
