There's a mini storm brewing around former Huckabee adviser Chris Saltsman and the "Barack the Magic Negro" song parody he distributed as Christmas gifts.
No-one from the RNC said a damn thing for 18 hours until Mike Duncan, RNC chair, sort of distanced himself from Saltsman. Saltsman himself, meanwhile, wheeled out the satire excuse. More from Think Progress.
But I hasten to note that this isn't satire -- unless it's satirizing guys like Saltsman and Limbaugh who actually think crap like this is awesome. What's truly bizarre is that Rush Limbaugh pulls off this kind of material almost every day and he's somehow embraced as the voice of the conservative movement.
