I think we knew this was coming, but Interior Secretary Ryan Zinke is going to depart the Trump regime sooner rather than later now that Democrats have regained control of the House of Representatives and thus oversight in Congress.
Politico reports that Zinke is measuring the drapes at Fox News.
Interior Secretary Ryan Zinke has been exploring potential roles with Fox News, the energy industry or other businesses amid growing signs that he will leave President Donald Trump's Cabinet as he faces investigations into his ethics, according to people knowledgeable about the discussions. [...]
Two of those people said Zinke has reached out to Fox to inquire about working at the conservative news channel as a contributor.
Zinke won't have to 'reach out' very far to inquire about opportunities at Fox News.
Trump's communications director Bill Shine is a former Fox News executive who has brought the network and the White House closer together than ever before.
I think we should expect that every official who departs the Trump regime in the coming days and weeks will land on their feet in one way or another. Those who still have some dignify left will become lobbyists while the unemployables will join Fox News.
It's wingnut welfare.
