John McCain is 72, but as should be clear to anyone who has read his book or watched him unscripted, he's not your average 72 year old. He was tortured (or as he, George Bush, and Alberto Gonzales would say, "questioned"). He's battled cancer three times. He has a lot of brain farts. A lot.
So as Matt Damon pointed out, the chances of a President Palin are 1 in 3 if McCain/Palin are elected in November.
Claire McCaskill just brought this message to the mainstream, and we have to follow up on her work and make sure people get it. "A heartbeat away" doesn't mean the same thing to Palin as it does to Biden.
This is too important to worry about hurting McCain's feelings. Being president turned the hair of Carter, Clinton and Bush II gray real fast. Being president is 24/7 stress. Being president is not a job an old, illness-prone man should have -- especially not when his back-up is Palin.
UPDATED: 1 in 3 chance, not 3 in 1. Thanks Farmisht Phoenix!
