Representative Patrick McHenry (R-NC) has introduced a bill to prohibit the ATF from regulating a specific type of ammunition.
“The Ammunition and Firearms Protection Act would put an end to this attack on our Second Amendment by ensuring this popular ammunition used by countless law-abiding American sportsmen remains available and not subject to any future ATF bans,” McHenry said in a statement.
The popular ammunition Representative McHenry wants to protect from the diabolical ATF is armor-piercing ammunition or what is commonly referred to as "cop killers."
The ATF moved to ban the bullets because what is traditionally used in long rifles can now be used in pistols that are easily concealed.
Conservative lawmakers routinely claim that they have a duty to protect police officers from the nefarious Obama administration, but for what reason would anyone have to use armor-piercing bullets in a pistol other than to kill police officers or federal agents?
Couching this behind a defense of the Second Amendment is a transparent way of concealing that you're simply doing the bidding of the gun lobby.
The gun lobby exists to sell deadly weapons and toys for manchildren. They don't care who is killed along the way. Death is a feature, not a bug.
