Interesting take from the Senate Minority Leader of the free world and human turtle/filibuster-hybrid, Sen. Mitch McConnell. With a 20,000 page stack of papers used as a prop for The Affordable Care Act, McConnell had a message for Republicans this week at CPAC, via Ezra Klein.
Talking about McConnell following Donald Trump, the slot where Gov. Chris Christie, who actually came in 4th in the straw poll could have been, said, in response to the idea that the Republican party is a party of creeps and losers:
“It may not seem like it now,” he said, “but we’re actually winning.”
On The Affordable Care Act, a deficit-neutral law that is slowing the cost of Medicare and expanding healthcare to millions of Americans, while banning health insurance corporations from dropping people and spending more that 20 cents on the dollar for administrative and CEO bonuses, said,
“Anyone who thinks we’ve moved beyond it is dead wrong. Obamacare should be repealed root and branch. We’re not backing down from this fight.”
Dead wrong! Literally, and shit. And they’re not backing down from their oath of office to openly conspire against the laws of the constitution that protect people from dying.
Sen. McConnell went on to say:
“Conservatives were not meant to be party of the crybaby conference– Don’t let anybody ever tell you Democrats have the upper hand on issues. I don’t care what the polls say.”
They’re certifiable.
