Okay, so contrary to my Huffington Post column this week, I'm a little worried about Christine O'Donnell at this point.
She's an unmitigated trainwreck to be sure. And all things being equal, she would normally be destroyed in the general election. But there's a factor here that I failed to notice before. O'Donnell is becoming a bit of a celebrity.
Like Sarah Palin, there's a growing "famous for being famous" vibe surrounding her -- a kind of celebrity frenzy. And so I'm becoming moderately concerned that in this awful, superficial climate of reality-show-obsession in which Americans value fame over quality, she might actually be able to narrow the gap to Chris Coons.
Suffice to say, I really hope my first instinct was the correct one.
