If we allow recovering alcoholics to meet on church grounds, before you know it we’ll be letting the gays in.
At least that seems to be the thinking of a baptist church in Louisiana.
In mid September, the Westwood Baptist Church in Keithville, Louisiana sent a letter to the leaders of a local AA group informing them that they could no longer meet at the church. According to KSLA News, church leaders explained that if they accommodated the AA group, which had been meeting at the church for more than 5 years, then they could also one day be forced to accommodate same-sex weddings.
Of course. One thing leads to another. One minute you’re helping people who are trying to put the bottle down, and the next minute you’re forced to perform gay marriages.
We all know Jesus would have turned away people in need of help over the non-existent threat of forced gay marriages.
