Sorry, Lee

To suggest that the Republicans aren't by-in-large motivated by politics and retaking Congress in 2010 is absolutely naïve.

Adding... Lee also wrongly assumes that I'm against tax cuts. I'm not. I'm only against tax cuts for the super-wealthy at the expense of the middle and working classes.

My question is this: If the Republicans, as Lee wrote, "want tax cuts because that is their religion. It's all they know," why did they -- all but three -- vote against the largest middle class tax cut in American history? As for California specifically, the Republicans were given a fat corporate tax cut and yet they're voting against it? That's a weird way to express a single-minded craving for tax cuts.

In other words, according to Lee's logic, the Republicans want tax cuts so badly, they're willing to vote against tax cuts? That's ridiculous. What else might motivate the Republicans to vote against the tax cuts they asked for? Hmm. I wonder.
