We're so close. With two days to go before our midnight Monday night deadline, we're within striking distance of reaching our $10,000 fundraising goal.
Don't forget, the Republicans can still win this thing. Some voter suppression in Florida or Ohio. Some shenanigans in Pennsylvania. A Bin Laden tape. Who knows what crazy, spasmodic tactic John McCain will wheel out in his final days.
And if Senator Obama wins, it has to be with an overwhelming governing mandate. He needs to be able to keep congressional Democrats on the reservation -- to keep them on board with his agenda. And he needs to be able to pull in the support of blue dogs and centrist Republicans. Especially in the Senate.
Having enough cash to dominate -- to crush the Republicans -- is so important in this final 48 hours.
