Here's a shocker. NBC changed the wording of their public option poll question and yet they continue to compare today's numbers with the results from a very different question.
You've probably also noticed that the general tone from the "very serious" reporters on MSNBC (Chuck Todd, Savannah Guthrie, etc) is that the president ought to just drop the public option and move on. Chuck Todd almost seems angry about it. Clearly the reason for this is press corp peer pressure -- the Very Serious conventional wisdom. All of the Politico/Halperin/Broder conventional wisdom goons think this is a wise and serious approach for the president to take, so it must be true.
But pushing for the White House to drop the public option is equally as crazy and premature as insisting healthcare reform is dead.
