I've been noticing -- most recently on This Week -- they've been editing down Palin's pregnant pause before saying, "In what respect, Charlie?" After Gibson asks about the Bush Doctrine, there's a wide 2-shot of silence. Homina-homina-homina. Then the close-up of Palin -- more pause -- then, "In what respect, Charlie?"
The wide 2-shot of silence has been trimmed out in some airings. Oddly enough, another example was on Real Time Friday night.
Her stunned silence speaks to her incompetence almost as much as her ridiculous, clueless response.
