Here’s some good sports-related news even you party poopers who hate sports or football should be able to appreciate.
The Baltimore Ravens have partnered with the state of Maryland to promote Obamacare, and the research that lead to this partnership is fascinating.
“Research shows that 71 percent of the uninsured population in Maryland have watched, attended or listened to a Ravens game in the past 12 months,” the announcement stated. “The partnership will provide Maryland Health Connection with the opportunity to reach and engage fans while making them aware of the new opportunity they have for health coverage beginning this fall through the health insurance marketplace.”
Football is the most popular sport in America, and millions of people tune in every week to watch it.
If NFL teams such as the Superbowl champion Ravens can help educate all of those viewers and fans on the merits of the healthcare exchange market, that’s a very good thing. That will go a lot farther than having an administration spokesperson doing the talking.
