In other news, Planned Parenthood has filed a federal lawsuit against the state of Arizona for canceling the organization's Medicaid provider contract for no demonstrable reason.
"Governor Hutchinson has no business telling women in Arkansas where they can and cannot go for cancer screenings, birth control, HIV tests and other care," said Cecile Richards, president of Planned Parenthood Federation of America.
I expect Planned Parenthood will win this battle as well as similar cases in Louisiana and Alabama. The federal government has already sided with Planned Parenthood.
Meanwhile, the attorney general of South Carolina is threatening to sue the federal government if it does not continue to fork over big piles of Socialist Big Government Cash. The state can't get enough of this particular handout.
And finally, hardliners in the House of Representatives have apparently convinced themselves the next government shutdown will be different. They can win this time.
