In other news, sometimes-senator and Republican presidential candidate Marco Rubio says he would end the president's deferred action program for DREAMers even if Congress never passes immigration reform. They tell me Rubio is going to magically win the Latino vote for the GOP.
In case anyone has forgotten, the president created the program because our Republican congress refuses to pass comprehensive reform.
Meanwhile, John Kasich knows outreach.
During a town hall event in Dubuque, Iowa, an audience member asked Kasich about the influence of lobbyists in government and his views on corruption. The governor said he knew how to "cut taxes" and "balance a budget," but acknowledged that it was difficult to maintain a stable economy.
He then turned to a woman in the crowd.
"Have you ever been on a diet?" Kasich asked. She replied, "Many times."
"OK, you're the perfect example," Kasich said after laughing.
