I have a picture of my father somewhere wearing something similar.

Ugh, she sounds like my ex-mother-in-law. What a hideous woman (both of them).

I have a baby picture of my Dad, taken around 1936 that showed him in what appears to be white, lacy dress. It’s not really a dress but a very common garment that all babies wore regardless of gender. Maybe the dress-like bottom just made it easier to change the diapers? In any case it wasn’t, normally, an indication of “issues”. HOWEVER, the picture above does show a little girl’s shoes, hat and very long hair on him….so it’s entirely possible that FDR’s mom went a little overboard and did indeed have “issues”.

From everything that I’ve heard, Carter never thought he saw an alien spacecraft. He merely saw an object in the sky that he could not identify.

I recall a teacher of mine in the 1980s who thought that this incident was enough proof that Carter was a loon. He would always cite it as evidence that Carter never should have been President.

She’d reportedly been infatuated with him since she was in her teens, but it has always been unclear as to when their relationship turned sexual. (Not sure she would qualify as a “young girl,” though.) The daughter she always claimed was Harding’s was born prior to his becoming president, when Britton was 22 or 23. Others have alleged that Harding also fathered a child with another woman, a close friend of his wife, Susan Hodder. There are also rumors of Harding engaging in orgies while a senator and as president.

There really isn’t much proof for any of the sexual rumors surrounding Harding. Living relatives of Harding and the children born to his supposed lovers have thus far refused to participate in DNA tests. Most of the original sources on the orgies or the myriad of other allegations about Harding’s sexual conquests are extremely suspect (they same type of “sources” the History Channel employs to provide “proof” of the alien origins of the pyramids). While it’s possible, even likely, that he engaged in extramarital activities, much of what has been said about him hardly constitutes a “fact.”

Are they being sloppy with their wording, or has another president now gone on record as having seen a UFO?

I recently read that in the late 1800s, boys wore dresses until @ age 4 and were transitioned into trousers as a sort of
rite of passage called breeching.

She forced Eleanor and Franklin to stay married after his philandering with Lucy Mercer and forbade Franklin not to see her again. She handled FDR’s estate and money until she died in 1941. She bought them a house after the wedding NEXT to hers where she installed sliding doors so she could at any damn time of day walk into her son’s portion of the house! YES, the woman was a nightmare, especially to Eleanor.
