The Select Solyndra IRS Committee to Investigate the Benghazi ACORN Birth Certificate Email Account will not release its findings until several months ahead of the 2016 election. For reasons.
In a statement on Tuesday to Bloomberg News, committee spokesman Jamal Ware confirmed the delay. “Factors beyond the committee’s control, including witness availability, compliance with documents requests, the granting of security clearances and accreditations—all of which are controlled by the Executive branch—could continue to impact the timing of the inquiry’s conclusion,” Ware wrote.
Exactly none of these reasons for the delay should be taken at face value.
Why not? Because House Republicans have already reviewed thousands of pages of documents, dozens of interviews, and hours of testimony over several years. Various House Republican committees have already issued a number of official reports of their own that showed there was no there, there.
There was no conspiracy. There was no "stand down" order. There was no attempted cover-up. There was no politically-motivated alteration of talking points.
You don't have to take my word for it and neither does the Select Bullshit Committee. You can take the word of the Republican-controlled Armed Services Committee which concluded there as no "stand down order." You can take the word of the Republican-controlled Intelligence Committee which concluded there was 'no intelligence failure.' You can even take the word of Darrell Issa's Witch Hunting Committee which could not manage to find anything incriminating despite going over the record several times with a fine-tooth comb. Darrell Issa couldn't find anything even when he just made shit up on his own.
If I were to guess what the future holds, I would say the Select Horseshit Committee will release a report in the Spring or Summer of 2016 that will conclude that they do not have a full account of events because they do not have all of Hillary Clinton's emails.
Even if that's not true it won't matter because it will be enough spark hysterics and a conniption in the media.
