I wrote a piece for WalletPop about the Boston Tea Party the other day, and the following comment was posted below it.
In America, for the last few decades it has become more and more pro-minority and against white-skinned people. One of the biggest examples of racism is garnishing the income of white-skinned people as "income taxes" and funneling that garnished income to other-skinned people as "welfare." In general, welfare makes people sick, not well.
Got it. So the tea party people aren't protesting against taxes, they're protesting against taxes on white people. In other words, the anti-tax position is very much driven by race, just as many of us suspected. I'm glad to see it finally revealed by an actual teabagger. Thanks, racist teabagger!
