I get a lot of emails from wingnuts who, despite their support for illegal wiretaps and the Patriot Act, insist that the president is somehow trampling on the Constitution. When I dare to probe into what specifically they mean, it's invariably the Birther thing, which is, at its core, a racist conspiracy theory.
