The handful of pundits who initially gushed about McCain's performance tonight are probably also far-right talk radio listeners. They like the rage. They like the aggression. They like the snark. They like the color. And they assume that thoughtful voters love the same things.
The pundits are clearly out of touch on this very important point.
This is why there's such a massive disconnect between the initial pundit reactions and the various snap polls. And, damn... I'm really grateful for those polls because they manage to totally shape -- if not entirely shut down -- the post-debate narratives.
