As far as I'm concerned, all of the debate about the recovery bill, torture, Judge Sotomayor and so on, is just prologue to what will be the biggest fight of the president's first term. And that's the fight to pass a public option for health insurance.

More than any other issue right now, I don't think we can allow anything less than serious reform of the system and the proposed public, government-run insurance option. Personally, I'll easily be one of the first people to sign up my family for the latter.
