GORI, Georgia — The conflict between Russia and the former Soviet republic of Georgia moved toward all-out war on Saturday as Russia prepared to land ground troops on Georgia’s coast and broadened its bombing campaign both within Georgia and in the disputed territory of Abkhazia.
I have a hunch that this is going to get a lot worse before it gets better. Preventing civilian casualties isn't a high priority for the Russians.
And our president is suddenly concerned about sovereignty and territory:
Georgia is a sovereign nation and its territorial integrity must be respected.
Because he's set such a great example himself.
