In exchange for dropping his bid to be named the chairman of the Budget Committee, Senator Jeff Sessions (R-AL) has been named the chairman of the Senate Subcommittee on Immigration, Refugees and Border Security.
Under Senator Sessions’ oversight, the subcommittee will focus it’s attention on the most vulnerable among us.
“My focus as Chairman of the Immigration subcommittee will be to advance the core interests of the nation and its people. On no issue have special interests had a tighter grip than on the issue of immigration,” Sessions said, vowing to give voice to the working families and American workers who have been hurt by “record immigration.”
