Administration officials were greeted with sarcasm and laughter Monday night when they briefed lawmakers and congressional staff on Treasury Secretary Tim Geithner's new financial-sector bailout project, according to people who were in the room.
Again, I'm not sure if Geithner is self-destructive or totally handcuffed or out of his mind or all three. As near as I can tell, there doesn't seem to be a coherent plan here. Just a catapult filled with billions in loose cash.
I mean, not even the spazzy white guys in lower Manhattan approve.
Cripes. Get it together, guys.
