Daily Kos and PPP are about to release the results of a poll showing Russ Feingold trailing his Republican challenger -- by a double-digit margin.
The culprit? The "enthusiasm gap." If there was more enthusiasm, Markos reports, we'd have a dead heat.
That's right, there's no enthusiasm to vote for one of the most progressive members of the U.S. Senate. What the hell should Feingold have done to win a little progressive love? We totally need another Ed Schultz rant about not voting. We're really doing an excellent job keeping and electing progressives in Congress. Just like August and August 2009, we're being out-hustled by the tea party and far-right.
