At last count Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump had been involved in over 5,000 lawsuits as both a complainant and defendant, and now we have another log for the fire.
The USA Freedom Girls, the traveling dance troupe that performed a fascistic dance number at one of Donald Trump's rallies early this year, has filed a lawsuit against Trump.
The dancers' parents came forward several months ago to say that the Trump campaign never paid them and stiffed them out of future performances, costing the group thousands of dollars. The group is now demanding compensation in court.
After nine months of haggling with Trump staffers, the group sued the campaign in Sarasota County, Florida, for as much as $15,000 in damages.
“This is not an opportunistic thing where we’re suing Donald Trump,” Popick said. “We’re not suing for emotional distress and all that other stuff that people do when they trump up—no pun intended—when they trump up a lawsuit. That’s not what this is. This is tangible dollars I spent under false pretenses.”
The moral of this story, and virtually every other story involving Donald Trump, is that you should not do business with Trump. Unless you are one of his Children of the Damned, you will regret it.
