Trump says a lot of very stupid and incoherent things on a daily if not hourly basis, but this is the cream of the crop.
Trump participated in an interview with British television network ITV when he was asked about the Paris climate accord and climate change. But Trump doesn't believe in climate change, you see, because we have 'record setting' ice.
The best ice.
“The ice caps were going to melt, they were going to be gone by now, but now they’re setting records,” Trump said in excerpts of an interview with Piers Morgan on the U.K. television network ITV that will be broadcast later on Sunday. Trump didn’t specify the data behind his statement about setting records.
I think everyone that's reading this is probably aware but, no, the polar ice caps were not suppose to "be gone by now." No one predicted that. If Antarctica completely melted, the southeastern United States would be completely under water and most of us would be dead now.
And we don't have 'record setting' ice.
Regarding the Paris climate accord, Trump says it's a "disaster" for America but he might rejoin it anyway because he 'likes' Macron.
“The Paris accord, for us, would have been a disaster,” Trump said in excerpts of an interview with Piers Morgan on the U.K. television network ITV that will be broadcast later on Sunday. “Would I go back in? Yeah, I’d go back in. I like, as you know, I like Emmanuel” Macron.
I don't know if any country in the entire world has ever had a leader who is this profoundly stupid.
