Rush Limbaugh has kept busy today not only denying any and all responsibility for the heated rhetoric in the country, but also using the opportunity to blame Democrats for hatching a secret plan to take away your freedoms.
This report, filed by Howard Fineman of the Huffington Post, details the topics covered today by The Drugster and what he had to say about each of them. I wont go over every one, because to do so could spawn an obscenity-laced rant of untold lengths, but I will touch on the most despicable.
On Criminalizing Speech:
"They're shutting down any opposition and criminalizing it. They've had a plan filed away in a drawer to take away as many of our political freedoms as they can. The Democrats just lost an election, and now the only other thing they can try to do is silence the opposition."
Rush is not simply implying that Democrats have been planning to use the next murder of 6 people to take away your freedom, he is outright saying it. This is exactly the kind of language that unhinges people and leads them to the conclusion that the world is hopeless. This is telling people that even though they escaped the fire in the crowded theater, they have been poisoned by the popcorn they ate. Sorry, you're not getting out of this one America! You're all screwed! The "Obama Government" is coming to get you.
On Democrats Being Thankful for Violence:
They privately are thankful for Tucson because "they think it advances their sick and perverted purposes." Mark Penn, who was Bill Clinton's polltaker, said -- before Tucson -- that "Obama needs his own Oklahoma City."
No, no one is thankful for the loss of this girl. I would like Limbaugh to take a long good look at that photo before he opens that colossal pie-hole on his face again.
