In other news, the Trump campaign is apparently broke. They've somehow spent $800 million out of $1 billion they raised in the last year, but they're pulling out of key states like Michigan and Arizona. Trump is now claiming he'll spend his own money. Again.
Trump didn't really spend his own money in 2016. The money was structured as loans the campaign owed back to him, and the money was largely spent at his own properties.
Meanwhile, Melania Trump's hideous rose garden is already being torn apart again because of shoddy construction.
Finally, Trump's former fixer Michael Cohen says Jerry Falwell Jr. endorsed Trump in 2016 because of compromising photos just as some people suspected.
WASHINGTON (Reuters) - In his book released today, Michael Cohen, the former fixer for U.S. President Donald Trump, ties for the first time the 2016 presidential endorsement of Trump by American evangelical leader Jerry Falwell Jr to Cohen’s own role in helping to keep racy “personal” photographs of the Falwells from becoming public. [...]
In “Disloyal: The Memoir,” Cohen describes thinking that his involvement in the Falwell photo matter would be a “catch and kill” — the practice of American tabloids to obtain and then suppress unfavorable stories about celebrities — “but in this case it was just going to be kill.”
He later writes: “In good time, I would call in this favor, not for me, but for the Boss, at a crucial moment on his journey to the presidency.”
The photos in question involve Falwell and one or more "pool boys."
There's no shame in posing with your pool boys, or whatever euphemism you prefer, just don't be the world's largest hypocrite.
