The demographic reality of this difficult choice:
Misogynistic zealots would have us believe that abortion is thoughtlessly abused as a means of birth control by loose sluts -- filthy baby killers. That's the subtext of the propaganda pedaled by the likes of Rick Santorum and, well, the entire Republican Party. It's nothing more than a way for repressed conservatives to control women. They merely disguise it as concern for the lives of fetuses -- lives which Republicans discard as soon as the fetus passes out of the birth canal. From that point on, babies are doomed in a would-be Republican America where healthcare is a for-profit Mafia-style racket and budgets for programs to provide healthy food for new mothers (WIC) are slashed.
