Right wing watchdog Judicial Watch has filed its latest lawsuit in a series of frivolous lawsuits accusing the Obama administration and the State Department of engaging in all manner of conspiracy.
Judicial Watch is phishing for documents that would detail the resettlement of refugees in America and the State Department has not promptly responded to their Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request for reasons that I think are obvious.
In a statement, Judicial Watch President Tom Fitton said that the administration’s failure to respond to its request is proof “that the Obama administration has something to hide about refugees, terrorism, and national security.”
“The Obama administration doesn’t want Americans to know about how it places refugees from terrorist states in their local communities,” Fitton said.
Judicial Watch would clearly like you to believe that President Obama is personally aiding and abetting secret terrorist refugees who just may invade your wholesome weekend barbecue.
As far as I can tell the State Department has not issued an official response to the lawsuit, but I'd call it a very good guess to say the administration is concerned for the safety of refugees and the organizations that help them and is following applicable law. Recent events tell us anyone who looks even vaguely middle-eastern is not safe in America.
I'm confident the State Department and aide organizations are not conspiring to hide the locations of sleeper cells or whatever it is Judicial Watch imagines they're doing.
Judicial Watch was founded by birther and leader of the failed movement to overthrow the government Larry Klayman.
